New Years Resolutions!

Happy New Year everyone!

I wish you all a good year. I hope everyone, including myself, makes some amazing memories.
I’d like to share with you my New Years resolutions, and I’d love for you to comment yours too!

Blog once a week.
This is important to me because I pretty much have no hobbies whatsoever. It’s quite sad really. But I love to write, and I love to document and try new things, so this is something that I really want to try hard to make an effort to do. I’m also hoping it will open up a new circle of people for me to connect with and talk regularly too.

Try a new food item or recipe once a month.
The reason I’ve made this one of my resolutions is because I’m damn sick of eating the same limited crap over and over and over again. None of which are exciting at all. I also want to start cooking more then I already do. The stuff I can cook already I think I’m quite good at so I’d really like to expand on my knowledge and skills.

Complete my Fitbit goals daily.
I really would like to be a lot healthier this year, as well as getting out of the house more. I think it will greatly benefit both my physical and mental health, both of which are vital for me to get through this year. I’m also hoping to up my goals about half way through the year to make sure its doing as much good for me as possible, while still being achievable. But I’ll only up the goals if I can consistently reach the ones currently set for me.
My current daily goals are:
– Steps : 5,000
– Distance : 4km
– Calories burnt : 2,700
– Active minutes : 15
– Floors Climbed : 5

Write down something positive that happened every day.
I’m honestly so sick of being such a negative person, of course my depression doesn’t help that at all. So, I’m going to try hard to work on it and hope that by writing something down every day, not only will it help me see the positive in things, but that when I’m feeling pure shit I can look back and hope it helps me feel less awful. I have been told by a few people it does make a difference so lets hope so!

Stick to morning and night routines.
I don’t think I’ve ever had either in my entire life. But apparently it helps keep you sane, and helps start and end your day in a relaxed, positive way. Essentially my routines include the standard of showering and brushing my teeth, but also includes stretching, reading, listening to music and just doing literally nothing for at least 5 minutes. I’m least confident with this resolution so I’m going to have to put a lot of effort in to make it a habit.

One bar of chocolate, and one small packet of crisps per week.
Now I know most people say they’re going to cut out crisps, chocolate etc completely but that would literally be impossible and I’d fail almost instantly. I love crisps waaaaay to much. But I do need to cut them right down, because as mentioned in my fitbit goals, I really do want to get healthier. I’m fed up of being the size I am, and being as unhealthy as I am, so I really want to start making small changes to help make it happen.

So, these are my resolutions that I’m really hoping I manage to stick to. I’m definitely going to try super hard. I finally haven’t half arsed things and I really want to make these changes.

Wish me luck guys! I wish you all good luck with yours. 😀

  1. I really identify with that last one! I almost eat chocolate daily, there’s no way in hell I’d ever be able to cut it out! I try to do two days without, 1 day with etc… LOL. It’s about as good as I can get. Anyway, good luck with your goals, and here’s to us achieving them!!
